Rates & Work Method
At KLUSMAATJE DeBruijn, I believe in complete transparency.
You’ll always know exactly what to expect before I start any work.
Hourly Rates
Standard rate: €50 per hour (including 21% VAT and travel costs within the city of Groningen)
Urgent jobs (scheduled within 2 days): €95 per hour (including 21% VAT and travel costs within the city of Groningen)
Important notes:
The hourly rate is based on the actual time spent on site, rounded up to the nearest quarter (15 minutes).
A minimum charge of 1 hour usually applies for small jobs.
Travel outside Groningen and materials are charged separately.
For larger or more complex projects, I can provide a fixed-price quote upon request.
Travel costs
I use an electric cargo bike to transport tools and materials. This allows me to move easily through Groningen’s zero-emission zone, park conveniently and travel in an environmentally friendly way.
All jobs within the city of Groningen therefore include free travel.
For jobs outside Groningen, extra travel costs may apply. These depend on the distance, the size of the job, and the tools & materials that need to be transported. I always calculate these costs in advance and discuss them with you clearly before starting, so there are no surprises.
Materials
I always inform you about any materials needed and provide an estimate of the costs in advance.
I offer you the choice to buy them yourself or have me supply them with a 20% markup on the cost price (before VAT) for sourcing and transport.
Most materials are sourced from local hardware stores such as Bauhaus, Hornbach or Praxis, depending on availability and proximity to the job location.
How I work
Most small to medium jobs are charged by the hour (with a minimum of 1 hour).
Larger projects can be done at a fixed agreed price.
You’ll receive a clear estimate of time and costs before I start.
After the job is completed, I’ll send you a clear digital invoice via email or WhatsApp.
You can pay easily by bank transfer or via iDEAL using ABN AMRO’s Tikkie system.
Payment is due within 14 days after the invoice date.
